Sacramento Kings guard Darius Acuff Jr. put up 25 points and eight assists in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, catching eyes as one of the brighter spots in the Kings' early exhibition slate.

In a separate preseason outing against the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento mounted a late run but came up short. The loss was overshadowed by a serious concern: center Maxime Raynaud left the game in a wheelchair with an apparent knee injury, casting a shadow over the team's preseason expectations.
